Pedra Queimada - Degredo

Pedra Queimada–Degredo is a 6.4-kilometre circuit in the Maia area and is temporarily closed. That restriction is the essential information for visitors: no part of the route should be used until an explicit reopening. Rated medium, the loop was designed to return to its starting point after crossing the rural landscape among Pedra Queimada, Lajinha and Degredo.

The trail’s name identifies small places and sectors of an agricultural slope on São Miguel’s north coast. Service lanes, pasture and patches of vegetation organise terrain shaped by rural activity, with the Atlantic horizon beyond. When available, the experience comes from this circular progression between settled areas and cultivated ground rather than from a single isolated destination.

The estimated duration of two and a half hours indicates a route with elevation change and varied surfaces. No cause is assigned to the closure, and present passage conditions cannot be assumed from older accounts.
