Coliseu Micaelense will present The Barber of Seville in Ponta Delgada on Friday, 30 October 2026, at 8 pm. The comic opera by Gioachino Rossini is presented by Coliseu Micaelense and Grupo Chiado.
Across two acts, Count Almaviva tries to win Rosina’s affection with help from Figaro. Their disguises and schemes drive a story adapted from Pierre-Augustin de Beaumarchais’s play, with an Italian libretto by Cesare Sterbini.
The announced running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes, including a 15-minute interval. Doors open at 7 pm, one hour before the performance. For residents and visitors on São Miguel, the production brings a Rossini opera to a venue in central Ponta Delgada.
Individual tickets cost between €20 and €40, depending on the seat, and box seating is also listed. The performance is rated for ages 16 and over.
