Morião Trail

Morião Trail takes place on 15 August 2026 at Tentadeiro da Florestal, on Terceira island. This competitive trail-running event brings runners and walkers together for a programme focused on outdoor sport along natural routes.

The schedule includes the Morião Trail 25K and Morião Trail 15K races, as well as a 10-kilometre walk. The three options provide ways to take part both for people seeking competition and for those who prefer a non-competitive walking experience.

The event is organised by the São Bento Parish Council in partnership with Clube de Atletismo da Terceira and Associação de Atletismo da Ilha Terceira, with support from Angra do Heroísmo Municipality.

Morião Trail adds to Terceira's summer sports programme and gives residents and visitors an active way to experience the island's forest setting. Participants should confirm timings, registration and the specific conditions for each activity with the organisers.
