The Glenn Miller Orchestra presents «In the Christmas Mood» on 5 December 2026 at 9:30 pm at the Centro Cultural e de Congressos de Angra do Heroísmo on Terceira. The concert brings together swing music and a Christmas setting.
Led by Ray McVay under an agreement with New York’s Glenn Miller Productions, the orchestra performs music inspired by Glenn Miller and the sound of the big bands of the 1940s. The programme includes swing-era pieces such as «Moonlight Serenade».
The performance is part of Angra do Heroísmo’s December cultural calendar. For Terceira residents and visitors spending time on the island, it offers a chance to hear this repertoire performed live by a full orchestra.
Tickets are available online through Ticketline and at Angra do Heroísmo City Hall from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The cultural centre’s box office opens from Thursday to Monday, an hour and a half before each event. Tickets will also be sold at the venue an hour and a half before this concert if any remain.
