Festival das Marés

Festival das Marés is scheduled to take place in Mosteiros, on São Miguel’s western coast, from 20 to 23 August 2026. The event forms part of the parish’s summer calendar and runs over four days.

The 2026 line-up has not yet been announced. Detailed programming, including performers, timetables and any additional activities, is expected to be released closer to the festival dates.

Mosteiros is one of Ponta Delgada’s best-known coastal areas, close to the village’s islets and natural swimming pools. Holding the festival in late August adds a cultural option during São Miguel’s peak summer season.

Residents and visitors should check timetables, the precise performance locations, access arrangements and any ticket information before travelling. Those coming from elsewhere on São Miguel should also allow time for the journey to the island’s west coast.
