Art x Surf Retreat – São Miguel, Azores
A seven-night painting and surf retreat in São Miguel, with expert workshops, guided island adventures, private chef meals and an eco-lodge stay.
When
October 17–24, 2026
We paint at high tide, we surf at low tide. On the north coast of São Miguel island, this retreat brings together two very different rhythms: the stillness of painting and the pull of the ocean. Over seven nights, guests split their days between oil painting workshops led by a professional artist and surf lessons adapted to every level, with plenty of room left to explore the island itself, its hot springs, its volcanic trails, its quieter corners, guided by a certified local guide who knows exactly where to take you.
The whole stay is all-inclusive, 3 meals a day by a private chef, all transfers, activities and excursions, so you can unwind from the moment you land on the island. You will be staying at a cosy eco-lodge within walking distance of the two main beaches on the north coast, built for exactly this kind of pause.
This retreat is for anyone truly looking for time for themselves, to recharge while discovering or improving creative and movement skills. It's the perfect combo of personal growth and well-being, with a program thought out and balanced so you don't just go home rested, but genuinely recharged. No experience in either discipline required. Open to adults, with a limited number of spots each season.
