Mobility platform retains technical issues while refunds resume

The Territorial Continuity Mechanism platform still has technical limitations, although it now handles refunds for tickets issued from 6 June.

The online platform for the Territorial Continuity Mechanism is still facing technical constraints, according to the Portuguese Government’s reply to questions submitted by the Socialist Party in the Portuguese Parliament.

The Government says the system is being adapted to the rules currently in force. Despite the remaining issues, the platform is now able to process refund requests for tickets issued from 6 June 2026.

Those requests are being handled without a maximum eligibility cap. This is significant for Azores residents who rely on mobility support when travelling by air between the region and mainland Portugal.

Alternative service and processing channels provided by CTT remain available during the transition. Their continuation is intended to prevent technical limitations in the platform from blocking access to refunds while the adaptations are completed.
