Support for fishing in protected areas moves to September agenda

The Azores Regional Government plans to take a resolution to the Council of Government in September to establish a compensation mechanism for fishers affected by RAMPA marine protected areas.

The measure follows notification of the mechanism to the European Commission. It concerns support for fishing activity in areas covered by the Azores network of marine protected areas.
