Musicians from the Azores, Madeira, the Canary Islands and Cape Verde share the programme at Sons da Macaronésia. Organised by FraterUne – A Fraternidade que nos Une, the festival brings these Atlantic island communities together through live performance.
The opening night, 20 November 2026, begins at 9:30 pm with Quarto Crescente e Amigos from the Azores. Madeira’s Xarabanda follows at 11:30 pm; the group is known for its work with traditional Madeiran music.
On 21 November, El Batijero brings the Canary Islands to the stage at 9:30 pm. Cape Verdean group Recado pa Terra performs at 11:30 pm, closing the announced programme.
Both evenings take place at the Centro Cultural e de Congressos de Angra do Heroísmo on Terceira. The two-night format gives audiences a chance to hear artists from four island regions in one venue.
