Hortênsia Festival
Chamber music concerts, masterclasses and free activities in Angra do Heroísmo, 1–10 September 2026.
When
September 1–10, 2026
From 1 to 10 September 2026, Angra do Heroísmo hosts the eighth edition of the Hortênsia Festival. Focused on chamber music, it adds a classical-music programme to Terceira’s early-autumn cultural calendar.
Concerts form the heart of the event, presenting performers and repertoire from the classical tradition over the course of the festival. The programme is designed to offer an accessible encounter with chamber music for regular concertgoers and curious newcomers alike.
Masterclasses are also part of the edition, bringing an educational dimension alongside the public performances. They provide a setting for engagement with interpretation and the musical work behind this repertoire.
Free activities are planned as well, giving both local audiences and visitors further ways to take part. Check the organiser’s current programme for the venue, timetable and attendance details for each session.
