Terceira Island hosts a day of trail running on 3 October 2026, combining competitive races with a walking option suited to a wider range of participants.
The programme includes four race distances—15 km, 35 km, 50 km and 100 km—alongside a 10 km walk. The walk departs from Posto Santo, which also serves as the starting point for the shortest race.
Start times are spread around the island: the 100 km route leaves Miradouro do Facho in Praia da Vitória at midnight, while the 50 km race sets off from Agualva at 08:00. Biscoitos is the 10:00 departure point for the 35 km event; Posto Santo follows with the 15 km race at 11:30 and the walk at 11:45.
Participants can collect race packs at Museu de Angra do Heroísmo on 1 and 2 October, from 14:00 to 20:00. Transport is planned between Angra do Heroísmo, Praia da Vitória and the start areas, and the prize-giving is scheduled for Relvão in Angra do Heroísmo.
Presented by the Terceira Island Athletics Association, the event brings outdoor sport to several parts of the island in one day. Runners, walkers and spectators should allow time for travel between the various start locations.
