The SIXT desk at João Paulo II Airport allows travellers to collect a vehicle after arriving on São Miguel. It is located in the terminal's car-rental area and can be reached by following the airport signs. The branch has an exclusive return area in the parking zone assigned to airport car hire.

The desk is open Monday through Sunday and on public holidays from 6:00 am to midnight. Vehicles can be returned 24 hours a day by following the instructions supplied with the rental contract. Fleet and category availability depend on the selected dates, and online booking allows customers to compare options and prices. Age, driving licence, deposit, insurance, fuel and additional-driver requirements vary by rate and should be reviewed before collection.
