Azores programme to take 15 technology companies to Web Summit 2026

The Regional Government of the Azores has opened a call to assemble a delegation of 15 companies for Web Summit 2026. Led by the Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government, the initiative is intended to connect Azorean business projects with a major international showcase for technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The selected companies will receive access to the event and will be able to present their products, services or solutions to prospective customers, strategic partners and investors. The participation is framed as a way to support internationalisation and pursue new business opportunities beyond the Region.

Companies with headquarters or a permanent establishment in the Azores and activity in technology-related fields may apply. The areas mentioned include computer programming, the Internet of Things, game development, augmented reality, e-commerce, industrial software, machine-to-machine technologies and large-scale data, as well as other activities relevant to the call's objectives.

Applications are open until 11:59 p.m. on 14 August 2026 through the electronic form established for the process. The rules were approved by Order no. 1648/2026 of 15 July and set out the conditions for the regional participation.

For the Azores, a joint presence can give greater visibility to companies working from an island region while seeking to expand their markets. The call therefore creates a practical route for regional expertise to engage with international business, investment and technology collaboration networks.
