New Ribeira Grande health centre moves to public tender
A €26 million public tender has opened for Ribeira Grande's new health centre.
A public tender has opened for the construction of a new health centre in Ribeira Grande, on São Miguel Island. The planned investment is approximately €26 million.
The future facility is intended to serve more than 31,000 residents of the municipality, strengthening access to local healthcare in one of the island's most populated areas.
The project includes basic emergency care, diagnostic services and physiotherapy treatment. It will also provide 63 beds as part of a healthcare response with greater capacity.
Opening the tender moves the project into a new administrative stage and allows the construction contract process to proceed. For Ribeira Grande and São Miguel, the investment is a significant addition to public health infrastructure and to the care available to residents.
