Flores faces new urgent tender to secure maritime supply service

The international public tender launched to charter a vessel for the regular supply of Flores received no bids. The procedure, valued at 5.9 million euros, was intended to secure a maritime solution capable of supporting the transport of goods to the island.

After the tender was left without proposals, the Government of the Azores announced that it will move forward with a new urgent procedure. The aim is to prevent a gap in supply capacity and keep an operational response in place for an island whose logistics depend heavily on maritime connections.
