Triangle Adventure takes place from 23 to 25 October 2026, with three trail running stages across Pico, São Jorge and Faial. Organised by Azores Trail Run, the event combines racing on each island with ferry journeys through the Azorean Triangle.
The first stage starts at 09:00 on Friday, 23 October, on Pico. Its 25 km route runs from the vineyard area towards the mountain. On Saturday, runners move to São Jorge for the 28 km Fajãs Trail, scheduled to start at 11:30.
On Sunday, 25 October, participants travel by boat to Horta for Faial’s 33 km Volcanoes Trail. The stage is due to start at 11:30. Together, the three stages cover 86 km; an awards ceremony is scheduled for 20:00 at Horta Municipal Market.
The programme begins before the racing: bib collection and a briefing take place on Thursday, 22 October, at Horta Municipal Market. Each race day has set times for baggage handover, ferry departures and transport to the start or from the finish.
Participants should plan their stay around the ferry timetable and reach the maritime terminals on time, as missing a boat means missing a stage. The organisers say routes and schedules may change because of weather or unforeseen circumstances. For residents and visitors, the event brings together three distinct landscapes of the central Azores in one weekend.
