The 32nd Azores Paragliding Festival takes place in São Miguel from 17 to 22 August 2026. Ribeira Grande serves as the organisation’s base, while flying sites will be selected according to the conditions suitable for each day.
The opening day is devoted to participant reception and registration, kit collection, signing liability terms, and a safety briefing on flying in São Miguel. The programme also includes a welcome gathering.
From 18 to 22 August, daily briefings and departures for flying sites are planned. The festival closes with the Festa dos Pastinhos. All aerial activities may change in response to weather conditions.
The organisation provides transport between its Ribeira Grande base and the flying or activity sites, including the return journey. Tourism activities are also planned for pilots’ companions, making the event relevant both to flyers and to visitors spending time in São Miguel during the festival.
