The 18th Azores International Festival takes place from 31 August to 16 September, bringing cultural programming to nine islands of the archipelago: Corvo, Faial, Flores, Graciosa, Pico, Santa Maria, São Jorge, São Miguel and Terceira.

This edition looks to the Atlantic and to diasporas, connecting the Azores with different cultural routes, including links to the United States and Brazil. The idea of travel runs through the programme, creating a dialogue between references from both sides of the ocean.

Classical music remains one of the festival’s central strands, while the programme also expands into jazz, literature and performing arts. Concerts and performances will occupy notable venues across the islands, combining historical repertoire, musical tradition and contemporary creation.

By spreading activities throughout the archipelago for around three weeks, the FIA offers cultural access to communities on several islands and strengthens the relationship between artistic programming and island territories. For residents and visitors, it is an opportunity to experience work from different disciplines across the Azores.
